Massage Techniques Available:

Reflexology:

Reflexology may help you feel less stressed, more relaxed, and more energized. Benefits might go deeper if you have certain health issues. Some clients with medical conditions find that they feel less pain and discomfort. Foot reflexology has far-reaching health benefits compared to foot massage, as it triggers a holistic healing response in the body. Modern research studies have also shown reflexology to alleviate post-surgery pain and reduce the side effects of cancer chemotherapy (nausea, vomiting, fatigue, etc.)

The effects of reflexology are unique to the individual. While some will experience a sense of relaxation and well-being, others find it to be quite energizing. Your body's response to the treatment could be instantaneous, however; most people usually notice the full benefits after 4-6 sessions.

Sports Massage:

Sports massage is a targeted massage approach that focuses on specific areas of the body that are in need of healing or relief.

Myofascial Release:

The goal of Deep Tissue Massage is to work on "trouble spots" and to alleviate tension through manipulation of the tissues. Myofascial Release Therapy, on the other hand, massages the fascia (connective tissue that supports 80% of our body) and has been known to eliminate chronic pain.

Lymph Drainage:

Therapists commonly use MLD to relieve swelling by coaxing lymph fluid from your tissues to your functioning lymph nodes. Unlike traditional massages, lymphatic drainage massage uses light pressure to mobilize the lymphatic system, which lies directly beneath the skin.

Prenatal:

A prenatal massage is a full body massage performed by a certified prenatal massage therapist that is similar to a Swedish massage, except for a few midifications wiith body positioning that can ensure the safety and comfort for both mother and baby.

Swedish:

Focuses on relaxation, stress reduction, relieving muscle tension, improving circulation, and enhancing overall body wellness.

Geriatric:

Geriatric massage can help elderly regain certain physical functions and mobility. Additionally, many seniors are lonely, anxious, or depressed, and geriatric massage can provide comfort to touch-deprived elderly clients and improve their quality of life. Gentle stroking and kneading with gentle stretching to reduce tension in their muscles and improve their balance and posture.

Did you know? Just a simple massage with aromatherapy massage oil works as a helpful healing process, where disease or injury has occured in muscles, connective tissues, bones, or any other part of the body. The act of massaging or any form of touch treatment triggers secretion of a natural anti-depressant called serotonin. You can feel this immediately after a therapy session, you're calmer, more focused, and suffice to say happier.
